Events and Theater
Thunder on the Niagara – Annual hydroplane boat races in early August on the Niagara River.
Canal Fest – Week long celebration in July of local food and drink with a large midway, parade and fireworks.
Riviera Theatre – On the National Register of Historic places, the theater hosts performing arts year round including live concerts, theater, dance and movies.
Niagara Regional Theatre Guild – One of the oldest continuously-running local theater companies in New York State hosting both musicals and plays!

Rainbow Roller Rink –An entertainment center that caters to all age groups and all skating abilities. Come to Rainbow Roller Rink for a great skate time with games & races, video and redemption games, music videos and the current sports games being shown on huge screens, a bounce zone, skate park, good food and more. Platters Chocolate Factory – See chocolate being made, go on a tour of the factory or just sit and enjoy tasty treats.

Historical Society of City of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda – A great place to learn about local history and participate on local events.
Paddock Golf Dome – Located in Brighton Park, this facility offers an indoor driving range, putting green, golf simulators, and a great restaurant and bar.
Sheridan Park Golf Course & Brighton Park Golf Course – Two public golf courses for players of all skill levels.
The Old Chapel Antique and Artisan Market – Open every day, this 6,500 square-foot market hosts over 70 vendors with a mix of antique goods, furniture, gifts, decor, collectables, hand made artisan goods and much more!
North Tonawanda Farmers Market – A city staple for over 100 years, stop by Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday for vendors serving up the best in local produce and goods.
Public Parks and Nature
Isleview, Niawanda, & Gratwick Parks – Come bike, walk, or just relax along the Niagara River. All 3 parks are free to enter and offer boat launches.
Isleview Park – Isle View is a popular destination for anglers year round. Visit this 1.2 mile-long park along the Niagara River for activities from rollerblading to boat launching and waterskiing. A great destination for both sun worshipers and bicyclists.
Niawanda Park – Located on the scenic Niagara River, it’s a popular location to take a walk, roller-blade or jog on the riverwalk path; enjoy your lunch, catch some sun or have some solitary time. See our events schedule for band shell concerts and special events throughout the summer.
Gratwick Park – Also located on the Niagara River. Free boat launches, summer concerts, and the annual Thunder on the Niagara boat races are among it’s highlights.
Gateway Harbor Park – A great place to come relax along the Eric Canal. Summer concerts with both local and national recording artists.
North Tonawanda Audubon Nature Preserve (Klydel Wetlands) – walk nature trails in this beautiful ecosystem featuring a large wooded wetland, mature forests, and seasonal pools.
